Artist Statement
I had a wonderful teacher who said: “See the art in everyday things”
That statement has stuck with me. After the demands of raising a family I returned to creating. I would see objects, look for artistic value and how I could use that value in adapting to my work.
Using mixed media, assemblage or combines was a natural fit, allowing me to blend found objects with color and composition. I need color and texture and hope to create a piece that makes a person ponder and form their own connections.
