Artist Statement

​

I had a wonderful teacher in high school who said 

“See the art in everyday things”.

​

That statement has stuck with me.  After raising a family, I returned to creating. I would see objects, look for artistic value and see how I could use that value in adapting to my work.

​

Using mixed media, assemblage or combined what is a natural fit, allows me to blend objects with color and composition.

 

I need color and texture in hopes to create a piece that makes a person ponder and form their own connections.
